Bridge Lake Point Waunona Neighborhood Center has served the southeast side of Madison since 1986, previously as the Broadway-Simpson Center. Originally housed in a small storefront, the center has provided a space for neighbors to gather for over twenty five years. In this time there have been many changes, including an expansion to the center's two current buildings and the addition of successful youth and family programming.
In 2004, Bridge Lake Point Waunona Neighborhood Center joined the Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc. organization in an effort to ensure stability and increase opportunities for neighborhood residents. Since then, the center has grown its programming with the engagement and support of numerous community members. Today, Bridge Lake Point Waunona Neighborhood Center is a thriving, vibrant gathering place for children, youth, adults, and families.
